Lawson and Fox was created to be the boutique investment, asset management, property management and private client arm of Lawson and Partners.
Born from a need from clients for a comprehensive ‘one stop shop’ for all their property requirements under one umbrella and one team, specialising in acquisition and disposal, asset management, property management and on going or one off strategic advice.

Mike is a co-founder of Lawson and Fox with over twenty years’ experience advising private clients, family trusts and property companies on commercial property investment.
He began his surveying career at Miller Kitching, which later merged with Egan Lawson. He went on to become a Partner in the Capital Markets team at Bidwells before returning to Lawson and Partners and subsequently co-founding Lawson and Fox.
Mike holds a BSc (Hons) in Law and Politics from the University of Southampton and a Masters in Property Valuation and Law from Cass Business School.
He has particular expertise in sale and leaseback transactions, development funding, joint venture structures and advising private clients and family trusts on the acquisition and disposal of property investments. He is known for providing clear, independent and trusted advice — including when the right decision is not to proceed — and focuses on ensuring his clients’ interests remain at the centre of every transaction. He also provides ongoing asset management advice and is a Registered Valuer.
Outside the office Mike is happiest on a ski slope — he is a former ski instructor with the ESS — or on the shooting field with his Labrador, Rhubarb. Golf and fishing compete for attention when time allows, with all of the above ideally combined with friends or family and good food and wine.
Mike is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Registered Valuer.
Chris qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1985 and founded Lawson and Partners in 1990, where he remains Managing Partner. He is also a founding partner of Lawson and Fox.
Chris specialises in corporate real estate, property management and asset management. His clients include high-net-worth property companies, institutions and corporate entities.
Outside the office Chris holds a Private Pilot’s Licence and can often be found flying out of Shoreham Airport. He has played hockey for Kenley Hockey Club for over forty years. Through marriage he is also a French national and a confirmed Francophile who describes himself as speaking “fluent bad French”.
Chris is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
